Shipping Policy 

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through the Hobbiton Movie Set Online Retail Shop. It does not apply to tickets or tour experiences at Hobbiton Movie Set.

Order Processing

  • Orders are processed Monday to Friday
  • Please allow 2–3 business days for your order to be packed and dispatched.
  • You will receive an order confirmation via email with tracking details once your order has been processed and shipped.

Domestic Shipping (New Zealand)

  • Standard shipping typically takes 3-13 business days after dispatch.
  • Shipping costs:
    • North island flat rate $10 urban, $15 rural
    • South island flat rate $18 urban, $23 rural
    • Free shipping on NZ Orders over $300
  • Rural deliveries may take longer.

International Shipping

  • International delivery timeframes vary by location, but generally range from 7–21 business days.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the destination and package size/weight.
  • Any customs duties, taxes, tariffs and import charges (if applicable) are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping fee.

Please note: we are currently unable to ship to the following countries due to suspended services with our shipping supplier:

  • Bahrain
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Israel
  • Kuwait
  • Qatar
  • United Arab Emirates

In addition, significant delays are expected for shipping to Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Shipping Carriers

All orders are shipped using reputable third-party carriers with parcel tracking. A tracking link will be provided once your order is dispatched.

Delays and Issues

While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • Public holidays
  • Peak periods (e.g. Christmas and New Years)
  • Weather disruptions
  • Customs processing (for international orders)

We are not liable for delays once a package has left our facility, but we’ll always do our best to assist with tracking issues.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Please double-check your shipping details at checkout. We are not responsible for parcels sent to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping fees may apply to resend it.

Lost or Damaged Parcels

If your order arrives damaged or goes missing in transit, please contact us as soon as possible via email with your order number and any relevant photos or tracking information. We’ll work with our carrier to resolve the issue.

In-Person Pickup

We offer In-Person Pickup service for customers visiting Hobbiton Movie Set. Orders must be placed at least 4 days in advance of your scheduled tour or visit and must be collected from The Shire’s Rest Shop on the day of your tour.

When placing an In-Person Pickup order, please ensure you provide accurate information at time of purchase. Retain your order receipt and details including order number, date and item list to our staff for collection.

Failure to provide this information may result in delays or inability to process your pickup order.
